LinkWater, the Queensland Bulk Water Transport Authority, ceased trading on 31 December 2012.

As of 1 January 2013, the newly merged Queensland Bulk Water Supply Authority (trading as Seqwater) will combine the functions of the three existing government authorities: Seqwater, LinkWater and the SEQ Water Grid Manager, as well as taking on the water security and efficiency responsibilities previously performed by the Queensland Water Commission.
