Most of LinkWater's infrastructure is located within LinkWater-owned lands, road reserves and/or within easements held over both public and or privately owned properties. Many of our pipelines and associated facilities (valves, etc) are located within easements in private land and we occassionally require access to carry out repairs or maintenance activities.
LinkWater will endeavour to provide 14 days' notice, though it is not obliged to do so under the terms of the easement. If LinkWater is required to access any part of the property outside of the easement area, to inspect, operate, change, maintain, remove, repair or replace its infrastructure it does so under section 36 of the Water Supply (Safety and Reliability) Act 2008.
