What is Corporate Governance?

 

Corporate Governance is the framework of rules, relationships, systems and processes within and by which authority is exercised and controlled in organisations.

 

Corporate Governance underpins the business sustainability of LinkWater. This is achieved by ensuring best practice and adoption and implementation of all applicable Government policies and the ASX Guidelines on good governance. Effective corporate governance contributes to stakeholder satisfaction.

 

Governance Framework

 

LinkWater has implemented a Governance Framework which has been approved by the Board. LinkWater has adopted the State Water Authorities Governance Framework in its entirety including the relevant ASX Guidelines as specified in the framework.

Code of Conduct

 

The purpose of the Code of Conduct of LinkWater is to provide a clear understanding of expected conduct. The Code of Conduct applies to all Board members, the Executive Management Team, employees of LinkWater, contractors and consultants.

 

The Code places an obligation on each of the above parties to take responsibility for their own conduct. To achieve this, each of the above parties are expected to familiarise themselves with and act in accordance with the Code of Conduct.

 

The Code of Conduct includes the following principles:

 

  • Principle 1 – Observation of laws and policies
  • Principle 2 – Respect for people
  • Principle 3 – Acting with integrity
  • Principle 4 – Work diligently
  • Principle 5 – Work efficiently and effectively.
